I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
